Week 1 : my first impression of food bank 📅Oct.11th to Oct.12th
This week was my first time to work at food bank. I was little nerves. But, the employees and other volunteers were very kind. They sometimes care about us and they talk to us.
I could learn some new words and I could see some foods I have never seen before.
The box in this picture use by sort foods which can use again. If we have food that cannot be reused, put it in a designated box and bag it up. And that bag are go to the farms and become food for animals. I was impressed that even food that was deemed unusable was used instead of being wasted.

Week2 ：The staff and other volunteers celebrated my birthday 📅Oct.18th to 19th
This week, I work as same as last week. Thursday is my birthday. We celebrated my birthday. We sang for me and gave me a message card and a chocolate cake. I was very happy!
And last week, I learned the word “Brussels sprouts” and this week I could perfect my pronunciation.

Week3 : Make a bag of 1 month foods for single person 📅October25th to 26th
We made the bag of 1 month foods for single people. It was hard work because we have to pack in so that there are no mistakes.
And I found the squash which had interesting shape. It is interesting for me to see many kind of vegetables I have never seen in Japan.
I learned some new words in this month.
Egg plant, Indian squash, Brussels sprouts, Pepper, Leek, Bok Choy, Plantain, Pomegranate.
I want to learn more new English words next month and I want to talk with other people more.

Week4 : Many foods come from COSTCO 📅November1st,2nd
This week, many foods come from COSTCO. And I saw some food see in food bank when I went to COSTCO. These photos are take in COSTCO. I will do my best in field work 3 weeks left and improve my speaking skill through talking with other volunteers.

Week5 Talk a lot with staffs and volunteers 📅November8th,9th
This week, I talk with some staffs and volunteers. We did the interview for other volunteers. They were very kind and they talk with us slow and easy to understand. We dressed in volunteer T-shirt!

Week6 Go in to the refrigerator 📅November 15,16th
In Wednesday, we saw the first snow. We was very happy!
And in Thursday, one staff said us “Come in to the refrigerator!”.
We went to in there it was -18. I felt very cold. Our job is next week only. I will do my best in next week!

Final week 📅November 22,23th
I got many good experiences in Kamloops Food Bank! I met many people and communicate
with them and get along with them!
I want to see them again!
And, I can learn about most important thing ” To helping people who need to help is very good thing for me and other people.”
I love Kamloops Food Bank!
